A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you have a Linux shared hosting with us and you’d like to activate the catch-all feature for a certain mailbox that you’ve got in your web hosting account, it’ll take literally just one single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain registered in your account. You can select one address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature right away, so all email messages sent to mistyped addresses will be received there. Clicking the button once again will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be activated easily if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll notice a small-size icon conveniently located directly next to each one of them. With just a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature through the context menu that will come into sight. In case any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
